Sashimi
Sashimi or raw seafood, including fish, shellfish, prawn, etc. is one of the typical foods of Japan, and is invariably served at any Japanese style inn (Ryokan) or restaurant. It is usually dipped in soy sauce before being eaten.
Sushi
All types of sushi rice seasoned lightly with vinegar,sushi consists of bite-sized amounts of rice pressed into an oblong shape, with a peace of raw seafood, or other food placed on top.
Teppan-Yaki
Japanese BBQ is known as teppan-yaki. Teppan-yaki is a way of cooking as teppan indicates an iron pan, and yaki indicates grilling in Japanese.
The best part of teppan-yaki is that cooking and eating are done in the same place.
